How To Register For NPTEL Courses?

Step 1: Go to URL – https://swayam.gov.in/

Step 2: Click on the Sign in / Register tab.

Step 3: Login using any of the options mentioned here

Step 4: If you have a Google-enabled email id, you can log in through the Google option. To the extent that you wish

When using your company’s email address or an email address that is not Google-enabled, you must create your own account.

Please log in. Click the ‘Sign up now’ button, create your username and password, and enter your email address.

The username and password you have selected will be the ones you use moving forward.

Step 5: Go to the SWAYAM home page and click the ‘All Courses’ tab after logging in.

Step 6: The ‘filter’ option can be found on the left-hand side of the screen. Here, under that National Coordinator tab,

select NPTEL. On the right side panel, the upcoming courses will be displayed.

Step 7: Please select the course you want to join. Within the course page, some basic course

information such as course tenure, exam date, Prof name, institute name, etc

Step 8: Once you have reviewed the provided information, you may wish to watch the Intro

video. The next step is to click on the JOIN button. The next step is to fill out all the relevant information.

Step 9: IMPORTANT: Select the profession as ’employed.’

Step 10: In ’employment details,’ select ‘yes’ in the dropdown if your employer is ‘Part of Swayam

industrial association.’ Here, please select the name of the company diligently.

NPTEL Exam Pattern 2023 and 2024 | What Is The Pattern of NPTEL Exams?

The NPTEL exams for April 2023 have closed their enrollments and exam registrations. Students enrolled and registered for the small fee can sit for the proctored exam at an exam center.

The exam conducted by NPTEL is usually of the same level as the course assignments and is three hours long.

Meeting the criteria of obtaining an average assignment score of 10/25 or higher and an exam score of 30/75 or higher makes a student eligible for a certificate.

NPTEL MOOCs

NPTEL is a Massive Online Learning Platform organized by the esteemed institution of IIT Madras. It offers an extensive range of courses on engineering, management, and other related subjects.

This platform has successfully created the world’s largest online repository of peer-reviewed educational content over the past ten years. 

With more than 8 lakh exam registrations, 5200 LC colleges, 4707 completed MOOCs, and 80 industry associates, NPTEL has become the most accessed library of educational content. 

NPTEL MOOCs, which began offering online courses in March 2014, provide certification courses to students who complete the course. Students can opt for certification exams (or proctored exams) conducted at the end of the MOOC course. 

The National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) offers certification courses on the model of MOOCs on its online portal. Therefore, students outside of IIT can access quality Indian e-learning programs through NPTEL’s MOOCs model.

SWAYAM Registration 2023

Creating content for courses from the secondary school level to the post-graduate level for all disciplines and making it available on the SWAYAM portal is the basic objective of the SWAYAM scheme an online platform for running and hosting thousands of courses. 

An online examination assesses the completion of the course, and certificates are awarded to learners.

Implement the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) on SWAYAM courses at institutions. Furthermore, it is designed to meet the needs of learners and students studying in universities and colleges nationwide. 

NPTEL Online Certification

Students can obtain certificates for courses to become employable in the industry or pursue a suitable higher education program. 

Through an online portal, 4, 8, or 12-week online courses are offered, typically on topics relevant to students in all years of higher education, along with basic core courses in sciences and humanities with exposure to relevant tools and technologies. Enrolment to and learning from these courses is free. 

Following these online courses, an in-person, proctored certification exam is conducted, and a certificate is provided through the participating institutions and industry, as applicable.
